Phosphates or not?
I have a KitchenAid Dishwasher, and we recently bought a water softener, the Company who sold us the softener, included soaps and detergents to use. Most containing No phosphates. Our dishwasher just stopped working and when the repair man came out, he claimed that you are supposed to have a level 4-6 phosphate in order for dishes to become clean. Basically that the soaps that our Water Softener company had recommended were no good, and Cascade Complete is the only good cleaner because of the phosphate level! Could somebody help me find out where to go to get a professional answer (someone who doesn’t work for a company trying to sell their soap), so I could find out which is truth or just a selling ploy???? Thanks
soap is good for cleaning the oil, grase, and food particles off the dishes. phosphate has NOTHING to do with cleaning the dishes. the heat does. just make sure ur dishwasher is hitting the 212 degree mark for at least 5 minutes and you should be getting sanitized dishes.
