Stand mixer for grating carrots and grinding raw red meat?
I need a mixer/grinder with attachments for grating and slicing vegetables like carrots,squash,etc and finely grinding raw red meat.I’m looking for something below $200.
What kind of wattage should I look for- if I want it to last a very long time and use it for 2-5 people 4-5 days a week?
Also which brand should I consider?I’m not looking for a professional grade mixer but for home use.I researched on KitchenAid though, wondering if the classic will last a long time.Cuisinart’s website is not so friendly and specially there are no attachments for the mixer that let me grate,grind or slice.Are the other brands that I need to look for?
Any deals on it?

@JSL: There are varieties of food other than just American food. Many dishes that require large amounts of grated Carrot.Not for a restaurant but for ‘Ethnic Cuisine’, the section we’re in.
Cuisinart stand mixers are amazing. But for the things you want to do with it, it might not be the best purchase. They do last forever and as far as mixing and kneading goes, its wonderful.
The meat grinder is not very powerful and is pretty slow.
I can’t imagine why you would get a stand mixer to grate carrots though. Unless you’re going to try and grate carrots for a restaurant, a hand grater or box grater should be sufficient.
However at under $200, you will have a hard time finding a Cuisinart, but if you look around it might be doable. I have seen them for as little as $230.
