“Run don’t walk to purchase this wok!”

Our family does wok cooking almost every day. In past years I have purchased woks that were very low end to very, very high end brand named woks. Most did the job fairly well but the insides kept getting scraped and scratched no matter what utensils and how careful we were. After a few uses they needed to be replaced.
Finally looked at the pans we most used for cooking over the many years and I ended up with two. My 12 inch and 10 inch cast iron skillets! The twelve inch past down to me from my Mom don’t know how old it is! Decided to look for a cast iron wok and with many reviews and prices later settled on the Lodge Pro-Logic 14 inch. I liked the reviews good and bad. I liked the fact that it was USA made and with a company gazillion years old! There were others that cost less. But I am glad we bought this one! I have used it many times since. It has a flat bottom stable for my gas burners and rounded bowl with some cast dimpling inside great for wok cooking! Heats up quickly and gets real hot! Cooks well with no undue residue or taste. It is quite heavy(worth the inconvenience and no problem for us) so we leave it on the stove to serve. After washing we give it a light pan oil spray and store. With proper care it will probably last forever. We love it!

This wok is just as excellent as all the other cast iron I have by Lodge. I can’t compare it to any other wok, as this is my first. However, I can say I am extremely pleased with its performance so far.
